Tea is hot! Everywhere you turn, new information keeps popping up about the virtues of tea. The industry, especially the wellness category, is growing at a very healthy rate. Within this industry, yerba mate is ready to explode. On November 22, Packaged Facts, a division of Marketresearch.com, published "International Exotics Top List of New Taste Trends." Kimberly Egan, principal and senior director of client services, said, "We expect that yerba mate will be the next news in beverages. It is being positioned as a healthy stimulant, one that is blended with interesting, yet familiar, flavorings, spices and herbs."

I knew when we founded Aviva in 1999, we were way ahead of the wave. Back then, when I made a call trying to drum up business, the first question was, yerba what? Today yerba mate is starting to go mainstream.

With sales and interest steadily growing over the years, we feel 2006 is going to be the break-out year for Aviva.
